Coolsculpting Elite is a treatment that requires no downtime, surgery, nor medicine. Patients simply lay comfortably while a machine targets and then freezes fat cells away. It accomplishes this through a cool painless laser that causes fat cells to crystallize as they freeze. This causes the fat cells to die which are later absorbed and eliminated by the body naturally. Since fat cells freeze at much higher temperatures than does the rest of the human body, patients feel no pain or discomfort during or after treatment and often read, play with their phones, and even nap during treatments.
Getting Started
Patients interested in Coolsculpting Elite will first meet with our resident physician Dr. Leonard Schulkind, MD. They’ll then undergo a standard physical in order to determine their overall health. Patients cleared for treatment can begin immediately with the process usually lasting no more than 20-25 minutes. After treatment has concluded patients can return to work, school, and resume whatever daily activities they normally partake in.
When Will I See Results?
Results vary from patient to patient though most report seeing significant results within 1 to 3 months of their first treatment. While our Coolsculpting machine freezes fat cells immediately, it takes time for the body to break the crystallized fat down and eliminate it naturally.
